Is the HP Omen 15.3 good for gaming?

Yes for 1080p gaming on medium settings. The RTX 5050 and Core 5 are entry-level parts, and the 60Hz screen caps smoothness in fast shooters.

Is $900 a good price for this laptop?

It is the only new price listed, $900 at Walmart as of November 6, 2026, so there is no recent range to judge against. Compare it with other RTX 5050 laptops before buying.

Does it have a 2K screen?

No. The panel is 1920x1200, which is slightly taller than 1080p but not 2K. It also runs at 60Hz.

Can I upgrade the RAM and storage?

It ships with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. HP Omen laptops usually allow RAM and SSD upgrades, but confirm the slot layout for this exact model before buying.

The laptop and its power adapter. A mouse and headset are not included.

With only one new listing, discounts depend on that store. Gaming laptops commonly drop during back-to-school and holiday sales, so watch those periods.
