    • Questions and answers

Is the Sugift fort kit worth it?
It is a solid pick if you want a battery-free building toy that doubles as a glowing night activity. At $68.88 at Macy's as of November 4, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so compare against similar rod-and-ball kits before buying.
    How does the glow work?
The rods and balls charge under natural or artificial light and glow without batteries. Leave them near a window or lamp before play, and expect the glow to fade over time.
    What age is it for?
The kit is rated for ages 4 and up, with adult supervision recommended during assembly and play. Younger kids can help connect balls while an adult builds the frame.
    What is in the box?
You get 44 balls, 96 rods, 8 blanket clips, a storage bag and a user manual. The clips let kids attach blankets to make enclosed forts.
Can it build a fort big enough for a child?
Yes. With 140 pieces, kids can build tunnels, tents and forts large enough to crawl into, then drape blankets over the frame with the clips.
