Is the Reid Ladies Classic good for beginners?

Yes. The step-through frame, upright position and 7 speeds make it easy to ride for casual city and beach trips.

Reid does not list an exact weight here, but the steel frame and fork make it heavier than an aluminium hybrid. Expect to notice it when carrying it upstairs or onto a rack.

What size rider fits the 24-inch petite model?

The 24-inch wheels and step-through frame suit shorter adults, roughly under 5'4". Taller riders should look at the larger wheel version.

Does it come with a rack and fenders?

Yes. The bike ships with colour-matched fenders, a chain guard and a rear rack.

Is $213 a good price?

At $213 at Bike Generation as of November 8, 2026, it is at the low end of its recent range across three stores. That is a fair price for a complete cruiser with accessories.

It has 7 speeds, which cover gentle slopes, but the gearing and weight make steep climbs hard work.
