An extra-firm mattress for people who like their sleep serious

Questions and answers

Is this mattress good for side sleepers?

Probably not in the extra firm version. Side sleepers usually need more give at the shoulder and hip, and this bed has little cushioning on top. The firm version suits some side sleepers better than extra firm.

What is the difference between the firm and extra firm versions?

Both use the same latex and organic cotton build; the extra firm packs the fill denser. Choose firm if you want support with a little give, extra firm if you want the hardest surface in the line.

Does it contain memory foam or polyurethane?

No. The core is latex and the fill and cover are organic cotton, so there is no memory foam or polyurethane layer.

What sizes are available?

It is sold in standard sizes up to Eastern King (76 in wide) and California King (84 in long). Check the size chart before ordering, since the two kings differ in shape.

Is it a good value at $659.98?

At $659.98 at The Futon Shop as of November 5, 2026, it is priced in line with other all-latex beds, which usually cost more than foam mattresses. Only one store lists it new, so there is no lower price to compare.

Can it be used on a platform bed or adjustable base?

It is a flat, non-raised mattress, so it works on a platform bed or slatted frame. A flexible latex core can also go on an adjustable base, but confirm with the store before buying.
