Is the iPad Air 9.7-inch still worth buying in 2026?

Only for basic tasks like browsing, email, reading and video. It cannot run current iOS, so many new apps won't install and it gets no security updates.

Can it run the latest iPadOS?

No. The 2013 iPad Air stopped at iOS 12, so apps that require iOS 13 or later will not install.

How much storage does the 32 GB model actually give me?

About 32 GB total, minus the space taken by the system, leaving roughly the mid-20s in GB for apps, photos and video.

Does it have cellular?

No. This is the Wi-Fi-only model, so it needs a Wi-Fi network for anything online.

Expect the tablet and a Lightning charging cable and adapter. Accessories vary by seller, so confirm before ordering.

Prices on this model are already low and mostly set by used and clearance stock. Watch listings around back-to-school and Black Friday for the lowest new prices.
