Is the SuperStrand LT Hoodie warm enough for winter?

It works as a midlayer in cold weather and as an outer layer on cool days. For freezing temperatures, wear it under a shell or pair it with a warmer base layer.

Does it work when wet?

The synthetic insulation keeps some warmth when damp, and the nylon ripstop sheds light rain. It is not waterproof, so bring a shell for sustained rain.

It has a standard fit with a 27-inch length and set-in sleeves. Some owners say the shoulders run trim, so size up if you plan to layer thick pieces underneath.

What sizes are available?

This listing covers women's sizes S and M, with M matching numeric 8-10. Check other listings for the full size run.

Is $70.48 a good price?

That is the best new price across 6 stores as of November 7, 2026, and it is low for an insulated hooded jacket from Outdoor Research. It is a solid buy at that level.

The jacket itself. It does not include a stuff sack, so pack it into its own pocket or a separate bag.
