Questions and answers

Is the Ridley Falcn Rival eTap worth it at $3,199?

At $3,199 at Backcountry.com as of November 7, 2026, it is a fair price for a carbon frame with wireless electronic shifting. Comparable bikes from major brands often cost more with the same group.

What groupset does the Falcn Rival eTap use?

It uses SRAM Rival eTap AXS, a 12-speed wireless electronic road group. Shifting is set up and adjusted through the SRAM AXS app.

How wide are the tires on this bike?

It ships with 1.34-inch tires, about 34 mm, which is wide for a road race bike. That width adds comfort and grip on rough pavement.

Do I need to charge the battery?

Yes. Rival eTap AXS runs on removable SRAM batteries, one per derailleur. Each lasts roughly a few weeks of regular riding and charges in about an hour.

Is the Falcn a race bike or an endurance bike?

It is a race bike. The geometry is aggressive and the frame is stiff, so it suits fast group rides and racing more than relaxed all-day comfort.

When is the Falcn cheapest?

New road bikes usually see the deepest discounts in late fall and winter as shops clear the outgoing model year. The current best new price is $3,199 at Backcountry.com as of November 7, 2026.
