About the BASN AirS1 Open Ear Bluetooth 5.3 Air Conduction Headphones

The BASN AirS1 is an open-ear Bluetooth 5.3 headphone that rests over the ear rather than sealing it, so you hear your music and your surroundings at once. It uses 15.4 mm air-conduction drivers, a MEMS mic with environmental noise cancellation for calls, and push-button controls. Battery life is 8 hours per magnetic charge, with a 1-hour recharge. At $29.99 at BASN as of November 6, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is the BASN AirS1 worth $29.99?
At $29.99 it is one of the cheapest open-ear Bluetooth headphones. If you want awareness while running or working and accept light bass, it is a low-risk buy. If you want deep bass or noise isolation, spend more on a sealed design.
How does open-ear air conduction sound?
The 15.4 mm drivers sit outside the ear canal, so sound is airy and vocals come through clearly, but bass is thin and loud environments wash it out. It is built for awareness, not isolation.
How long does the battery last and how do I charge it?
BASN rates it at 8 hours of playtime per charge, with a 1-hour recharge over a magnetic cable. There is no USB-C port, so keep the included magnetic cable safe.
Does it work with iPhone and Android?
Yes. Bluetooth 5.3 pairs with both iPhone and Android phones, and the push buttons control playback and calls without an app.
How good is the microphone for calls?
It uses a MEMS mic with environmental noise cancellation, which cuts steady background noise like wind or traffic. Callers report it is usable outdoors, though it is not a headset-grade mic.
What comes in the box?
Expect the headphones and a magnetic charging cable. No case or wired cable is listed, so plan to store it carefully.
