Is the Avenco 8 inch hybrid worth it?

At $88.98 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it is one of the cheapest hybrid mattresses you can buy. It suits guest beds, kids' rooms and RVs; do not expect it to last like a $600 mattress.

The listing says medium soft, while the brand describes it as medium firm, and owners report everything from soft to very firm. Treat the feel as a gamble, especially if you are a heavier sleeper.

Children, teenagers and occasional guests, plus bunk beds, trundles and RV bunks where an 8-inch mattress is required. Adults over roughly 200 pounds will likely find it thin.

Does it work on a bunk bed or RV?

Yes. The 8-inch height is made for bunks, trundles and RV platforms, and it ships compressed in a box so it fits through tight doorways. Let it expand for 24 to 72 hours before use.

What comes in the box?

The mattress is rolled and vacuum-packed, and buyers report an opening tool is included. A foundation or slatted frame is sold separately.

The lowest recorded price is $88.98 at Walmart on November 2, 2026, and no higher price has been logged since. Watch for Walmart rollback events around holidays for further drops.
