Is the Tag Gateway 2.0 set worth buying?

Only if price matters more than longevity. At $131.99 at Macy's as of November 7, 2026 it is cheap for three checked bags, but a 2.3-out-of-5 rating from 301 ratings signals durability complaints.

What sizes are in the set?

It is a three-piece checked set; the 28-inch case measures 28" high, 19.3" wide and 9.9" deep internally. The other two pieces are smaller checked sizes.

Does it have TSA locks and expansion?

Yes. Each case has a TSA-approved lock, and the main case expands by 2 inches.

How much does the set weigh?

21.12 lbs for the set. Check your airline's per-bag limit before packing all three.

Is ABS hardside durable enough for checked bags?

ABS is the entry-level hardside plastic. It resists scratches but can crack under rough handling, which matches the complaints behind this set's low rating.

When is the best time to buy it?

Luggage discounts around Black Friday and pre-summer sales. Track the price history here; the current best is $131.99 at Macy's as of November 7, 2026.
