A chenille sectional with ottomans for feet-up evenings

Questions and answers

Is the Nelson sectional worth $885.99?

At $885.99 at Target as of November 4, 2026, it is a fair mid-range price for a four-piece velvet sectional. With only one new listing, you have no cheaper new alternative to fall back on, so compare it against similar two-seat sectionals before buying.

How many people does it seat?

The listing says it seats up to two, with two seat pieces and two ottomans. The ottomans can add casual seating or footrests, but this is a small sofa, not a family-size sectional.

Can the pieces be arranged separately?

Yes. It comes as four pieces, so the two seats and two ottomans can sit together as a 94-inch sectional or be split into a loveseat and separate ottomans. That flexibility is the main reason to pick it over a fixed sofa.

How much assembly is required?

Adult assembly is required, and tools are provided. Expect to attach the pieces and legs yourself; budget an hour or two and a second person for moving the boxes.

Is the velvet hard to keep clean?

Velvet chenille is soft but traps lint and pet hair and shows marks. Vacuum it with a soft brush and blot spills promptly; it is not the easiest fabric for homes with pets or young kids.

When is it cheapest?

There is only one new price, $885.99 at Target as of November 4, 2026, so there is no recent range to judge a low point. Watch for Target furniture sales and markdowns rather than expecting store-to-store competition.
