Is the Lenovo IdeaPad 15.3" worth $329?

Yes, if you need a touchscreen Windows laptop for basic tasks. A 512 GB SSD and 1200p display are uncommon at this price. Skip it if you need long battery life.

How long does the battery actually last?

The listing states 2 hours, which is short even for a budget laptop. Plan on keeping the charger nearby for classes or meetings.

Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?

Storage is a 512 GB SSD and RAM is 8 GB; many IdeaPad 15 models have limited or soldered memory, so confirm before buying if you plan to upgrade. External drives over HDMI-free USB ports are the safer route.

Is the screen good for outdoor use?

It has a no-glare (matte) finish, which reduces reflections, but brightness is not specified. It should be usable near a window, less so in direct sun.

Does it come with a touchscreen and backlit keyboard?

Yes, both are listed: a 15.3-inch 1920 x 1200 touchscreen and a backlit keyboard. The screen is also no-glare.

When is the best time to buy it?

The only recorded price is $329 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, so there is no cheaper recent price to wait for. Watch Black Friday and back-to-school sales for drops.
