About the T-Fal Initiatives Aluminum Nonstick 18-Piece Cookware Set

The T-Fal Initiatives 18-piece set is an aluminum nonstick cookware bundle aimed at outfitting a kitchen in one purchase. It covers pots, pans and lids in a grey nonstick finish, and T-Fal's nonstick coating is the main draw for low-fat cooking and easy cleanup. The set is hand wash only, so it asks more care than dishwasher-safe lines. At $91.99 at Macy's as of November 6, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent price range, with only two stores listing it new.

    Questions and answers

    Is this set dishwasher safe?
No. T-Fal lists hand wash as the care instruction for the Initiatives set, and dishwasher detergent and heat shorten the life of nonstick coatings.
What pieces are in the 18-piece set?
The set is sold as 18 pieces covering pots, pans and matching lids. Check the retailer's piece list before buying, since bundle contents vary by listing.
Is $91.99 a good price for this set?
It is the lowest new price found as of November 6, 2026, and sits at the low end of its recent range. Only two stores list it new, so availability is limited.
Does the nonstick coating work on induction cooktops?
Aluminum nonstick pans like these generally do not work on induction unless the base is magnetic. Check the base marking before buying for an induction stove.
Can I use metal utensils with these pans?
T-Fal recommends silicone, wood or plastic utensils. Metal utensils can scratch the coating and shorten its nonstick life.
How does this compare with T-Fal's higher-end sets?
Higher T-Fal lines add features like Thermo-Spot heat indicators and sometimes dishwasher-safe coatings. This set trades those extras for a lower price.
