Is the ZU707T bright enough for a lit room?

At 7,000 lumens it is aimed at rooms with lights on, such as classrooms and conference spaces. Screen size and gain still matter, so keep the image within a size the throw distance supports.

What resolution does it project?

Native WUXGA, 1920 x 1200, which is 16:10. Widescreen 16:9 video will show small bars or be scaled to fit.

Do I have to replace a lamp?

No. It uses a laser light source instead of a lamp, so there is no routine lamp replacement. Brightness still declines gradually over the laser's life.

How close can it sit to the screen?

It is a short-throw model, so it fills a large image from a short distance. Check Optoma's throw ratio for the exact screen size you need before mounting it.

What inputs does it have?

HDMI, VGA, RCA, USB and Ethernet. Ethernet allows wired network control and monitoring in an installation.

Is it good for home theater?

It can work in a large, bright room, but it is designed for commercial and education use. Home users usually want a quieter, 16:9-native model with better black levels.
