Is the Sonos Beam worth $476?

It is a strong compact soundbar with Atmos and voice control, but $476 is near its recent high. It is a better buy on sale or bundled.

Does the Beam need a subwoofer?

No, but bass is modest on its own. A Sonos Sub adds low end for a much higher total cost.

Does it work with any TV?

It connects by HDMI ARC/eARC or optical, so most TVs work. Very old sets without either input will not.

The bar, power cable, HDMI cable and optical adapter are included. A wall mount is sold separately.

Can I use it without the Sonos app?

Basic TV playback works over HDMI, but Wi-Fi, multi-room and tuning need the Sonos app.

Sonos bars usually drop during Black Friday and major sales. At $476 it is near its recent high, so a sale is likely to beat it.
