Is this coat warm enough for real winter?

It is heavyweight and insulated, so it handles cold days, but the short hip length leaves the thighs exposed. It suits mild-to-moderate winters better than deep-freeze climates.

Is it down or synthetic?

Synthetic. The shell and insulation are polyester, so expect a heavier feel than a down puffer of similar warmth.

What sizes and colors does it come in?

It is sold in regular sizes in olive and light grey. Check the listing for the size run, since availability varies by color.

Is $57.99 a good price?

Only one store lists it new at $57.99 as of November 6, 2026, so there is no lower competing price to beat. For a heavyweight hooded puffer, that is a low entry price.

Does the hood come off?

The hood is attached. There is no mention of a detachable design, so plan on it staying on.

What are the thumbhole cuffs for?

The cuffs have thumbholes that hold the sleeves over your hands and stop cold air from riding up the wrist.
