Is the Ritkeep Smith Machine worth it for a home gym?

It makes sense if you want barbell, cable and pull-up training in one frame and have the floor space. If you mainly train with free weights, a plain power rack plus a barbell costs less and gives a natural bar path.

Does it include a bench and weight plates?

The listing covers the Smith machine frame with its Smith bar, cable stations and pull-up bar. A bench, Olympic plates and cable attachments are typically bought separately, so confirm the exact package with the seller before ordering.

Can I do free barbell squats and bench press on it?

The Smith bar runs on fixed guide rails, so the path is guided rather than free. For true free-bar squats and bench press you would need a separate barbell and rack.

How much space does it need?

It is a full-size multi-station machine, so plan for a dedicated footprint with clearance around the bar, cables and pull-up bar. Measure your ceiling height and floor area against the listed dimensions before buying.

Is $1,308.99 a good price?

Only one new price is listed, $1,308.99 at RitKeep Fitness as of November 6, 2026, so there is no recent range to compare it against. Compare it with other Smith machine and rack-plus-cable setups at similar specs.

Can one person assemble it?

The frame is large and heavy, so two people are strongly recommended for moving and assembly. Follow the manual and check that all bolts are tight before loading the bar.
