Is the HP OmniBook 3 17.3 worth $949.99?

Not at that price. It has sold as low as $449.99 on October 31, 2026 and was $679.99 on October 30, so waiting for a drop back toward $600 or below makes more sense.

Is 7 hours of battery enough?

It covers a class session or a short workday away from an outlet, but not a full day of unplugged work. Plan to carry the charger for long days.

Can it handle gaming?

Only lightly. The 60Hz screen and AMD GPU suit casual and older titles, not demanding modern games at high settings.

How does it compare with a 15-inch laptop?

You get a noticeably larger screen for spreadsheets and video, at the cost of a bigger footprint and more weight in a bag.

What ports does it have?

It lists USB-C and HDMI, enough for a monitor and peripherals. Check the full port layout before buying if you need several USB-A devices.

Its recent low was $449.99 on October 31, 2026, well under the current $949.99. Holiday sales and back-to-school periods are the usual windows for drops.
