Is the HP Omen 16 worth it?

It is a reasonable pick if you want a fast 240 Hz QHD screen and strong CPU performance. The 16 GB RAM ceiling and 512 GB SSD are the main compromises to weigh.

Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?

RAM is capped at 16 GB per the listed specs, so plan on that being fixed. The 512 GB SSD can typically be swapped or supplemented, but you should confirm slot availability for this exact model before buying.

Is the RTX 5070 enough for 2560 x 1600 gaming?

Yes for most current titles at high settings, but the 8 GB of VRAM means the newest, most demanding games may need settings lowered at native resolution. Dropping to 1080p or using upscaling helps.

How long does the battery actually last?

HP rates up to 9 hours, which applies to light use like browsing or video. Gaming on the RTX 5070 will cut that to roughly an hour or two, so keep the charger nearby.

Does it come with Windows 11 Pro?

Yes, Windows 11 Pro is listed as the included operating system. That adds BitLocker and remote desktop over the Home edition.

When is the best time to buy it?

Gaming laptops like this see the deepest discounts during back-to-school, Black Friday and end-of-quarter sales. Check the price history before buying so you can tell a real drop from a normal price.
