Is 80% AFUE good enough, or should I buy a 90%+ furnace?
80% AFUE means 20 cents of every heating dollar leaves through the flue. A condensing furnace recovers most of that, but it needs PVC venting and a drain, which can add significant install cost. If you already have metal venting and a short chimney run, this unit is the cheaper swap.
Will this furnace heat my house?
Output is 80,000 BTU, which typically covers a 2,000 to 2,500 sq ft home in a moderate climate. Colder climates or poorly insulated homes may need more. Have a contractor run a load calculation before buying.
Can I use it with propane?
