Our take on the 18V Cordless Reciprocating Saw Kit with 4.0 Ah Battery and Charger

This is an 18V cordless reciprocating saw kit that ships with a 4.0 Ah lithium-ion battery and a charger, so it is ready to cut out of the box. The kit format matters more than the saw itself: a 4.0 Ah pack is enough for framing, pruning and demolition work without constant swaps. At $46 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of what a battery-and-charger kit normally costs, well below what bare tools plus a separate battery usually run. Three stores list it new, so compare total cost including shipping before buying.

Best forHomeowners who want one saw for pruning, demolition and rough cutsBuyers who need a spare 18V battery and charger more than the toolOccasional users who don't want to pay for a premium brand kit
Pros
  • Includes a 4.0 Ah battery and charger, not a bare tool
  • 18V platform is common, so batteries may share with other tools
  • Reciprocating saws cut wood, plastic and light metal with the right blade
  • Kit price of $46 at eBay as of November 4, 2026 is low for a battery-included saw
  • Tool-free blade changes are typical on this class of saw
Cons
  • No brand or model number given beyond SKU R8646K, so parts and warranty support are unclear
  • 4.0 Ah is a mid-size pack; heavy demolition drains it quickly
  • Cordless reciprocating saws cut slower than corded models in thick material
  • Blades are usually not included in kits at this price
  • Battery platform compatibility depends on the actual brand

Questions and answers

Is this kit worth it at $46?
At $46 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, you are paying close to what a 4.0 Ah battery and charger alone often cost. If the saw fits your needs, the kit is good value; check shipping and seller terms first.
What comes in the box?
The kit includes the 18V reciprocating saw, one 4.0 Ah lithium-ion battery and an 18V charger. Blades and a case are not listed, so budget for a blade set.
How long does the 4.0 Ah battery last?
Expect roughly 20 to 40 minutes of continuous cutting in wood, less in metal or demolition work. For long jobs, a second battery is worth having.
Can I use other 18V batteries in it?
Only if they share the same brand's battery mount. The listing gives no brand, so confirm the battery interface before buying; cross-brand packs generally do not fit.
When is the price lowest?
Cordless saw kits tend to drop during spring outdoor and holiday sales. The current $46 at eBay as of November 4, 2026 is already near the bottom of the kit range.
