Is a 22 ft multi-position ladder worth it over a plain extension ladder?

If you work around stairs, vaulted ceilings or need a trestle setup, the extra configurations justify the price and weight. For straight-up exterior work only, a lighter two-section extension ladder is cheaper and easier to handle.

How tall a reach does the 22 ft model give?

The listing gives a 131-inch straight height, about 10 ft 11 in, and a 227-inch figure that appears to be a typo. Treat the usable standing height as roughly 9 to 10 ft, and check the actual spec before buying.

Is the 300 lb rating enough for two people?

Type IA covers 300 lbs total, including the person and tools. Two adults on it at once would exceed that, so keep it to one person plus gear.

Can one person set it up?

Yes, the hinge locks are designed for one-person changes, but the 38 lb frame is bulky at full extension. Set it up close to where you will work rather than carrying it extended.

What comes in the box?

The listing shows the ladder only, one count. Plank, tray and any stabilizer are not included unless a store says otherwise.

Three stores list it new, with $307.41 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, the lowest seen. Multi-position ladders tend to dip in spring and around holiday sales, so compare all three stores before buying.
