Is this kit worth it for a beginner?

Yes, if you want several tools without buying batteries for each. The drill, impact driver and multi-tool cover assembly and light repair work. The saws are best for trim and light cuts, not heavy framing.

How does the drill compare with a 20V brand-name drill?

At 400 in-lbs it sits below most 18V/20V brushless drills, which often rate 500-650 in-lbs. It is fine for driving screws and drilling wood, but slower in thick hardwood or masonry.

How long does the battery take to charge?

About 55 minutes per 24V battery with the included 65W USB-C charger. The 4.0Ah pack takes the same time as the 2.0Ah, so plan around one battery charging while you use the other.

Do the batteries fit other Greenworks tools?

Yes. Greenworks says any 24V battery powers 200+ tools in its 24V line, so the packs work in other Greenworks 24V outdoor and power tools.

Six tools (drill/driver, circular saw, impact driver, multi-tool, reciprocating saw, flashlight), a 2.0Ah and a 4.0Ah USB-C battery, a 65W USB-C charger, two 3-foot 100W cables and a tool bag.

When is the best time to buy?

Combo kits usually drop around Black Friday, Father's Day and spring home-improvement sales. Check the price history before buying, since kit pricing swings more than single-tool pricing.

Our take on the 24V Cordless 400 in-lbs Drill/Driver Power Tool 6PC Combo Kit

This is a six-piece Greenworks 24V cordless kit: a 1/2-inch drill/driver, 6.5-inch circular saw, impact driver, multi-tool, 6-inch reciprocating saw and a 200-lumen LED flashlight. It ships with a 2.0Ah and a 4.0Ah USB-C battery, a 65W USB-C fast charger and a tool bag, and the batteries run 200+ Greenworks 24V tools. The drill is rated 400 in-lbs and the impact driver 1,950 in-lbs, which is modest next to pro-grade 18V/20V tools.
