Our take on the 26 inch Electric Bike for Adults, 720W, 12Ah

This is a 26-inch adult electric bike with a 720W rear hub motor, a 12Ah battery and a steel hybrid frame with front suspension and a 7-speed drivetrain. The 720W motor is above the 500W class common on budget commuters, so it climbs and accelerates harder than a typical entry e-bike. The 12Ah battery is small for a motor this size, so expect modest range and charge often. Steel adds weight and durability; at 26 inches it rides like a full-size bike rather than a folder.

Best forRiders who want strong motor assist on a budgetCommutes with hills or heavy ridersBuyers comfortable with basic bike maintenanceRiders who want a full-size 26-inch wheel feel
Pros
  • 720W motor gives more torque than 250W–500W budget e-bikes
  • 26-inch wheels roll over rough pavement better than 20-inch
  • 7-speed gearing lets you pedal with or without assist
  • Front suspension softens potholes and curbs
  • Steel frame is sturdy and forgiving for heavier riders
Cons
  • 12Ah battery is small for a 720W motor, so range is limited
  • Steel frame makes it heavy to lift and carry
  • Front-only suspension is basic on rough roads
  • No-name budget builds often use generic cells and controllers
  • Motor wattage may exceed local e-bike limits in some areas

Questions and answers

How far can I ride on one charge?
With a 12Ah battery and a 720W motor, expect roughly 20–30 miles in mixed assist and less if you lean on the throttle or climb a lot. Range drops sharply in cold weather and at high speed.
Is 720W legal where I live?
Many US states cap street-legal e-bikes at 750W and 20 mph, so 720W can be compliant, but check your state and local rules. Some countries cap at 250W, where this would not be street legal.
Can I pedal it without the motor?
Yes. The 7-speed drivetrain works like a normal hybrid bike, but the steel frame and motor make it heavier to pedal unassisted than a regular bicycle.
What size rider does a 26-inch frame fit?
A 26-inch wheel bike like this generally suits riders around 5'3" to 6'2", depending on standover height. Check the seat and handlebar adjustment range before buying.
How long does the battery take to charge?
A 12Ah pack typically charges in 4–6 hours with the included charger. Charge indoors at room temperature and avoid leaving it fully drained for long periods.
