Our take on the 3-Pack Self Watering Hanging Plant Pots with Macrame Hangers

A three-pack of plastic hanging planters with macrame hangers and a built-in self-watering reservoir. Each pot has an inner basket that wicks water up from a lower chamber, so plants go longer between waterings. They suit indoor and outdoor spots like living rooms, balconies and porches. At $22.99 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, the set works out to about $7.67 per pot, and it is the only new price listed.

Pros

  • Works indoors and on covered patios
Cons
  • Small pots limit root space to compact plants
  • Plastic looks less premium than ceramic or clay
  • Macrame cord can fade or stretch in direct sun and rain
  • Only 14 ratings, so the 4.3 score rests on thin feedback
  • Drainage and reservoir need checking so roots don't sit in water

Questions and answers

How does the self-watering system work?
An inner basket holds the plant and soil, and a lower chamber stores water that wicks up to the roots. You refill the reservoir instead of watering from the top every few days.
How big are the pots?
They are compact hanging planters, sized for small houseplants and trailing varieties. Check the listed dimensions before buying if you plan to pot something with a large root ball.
Can these hang outdoors?
Yes, they are listed for indoor and outdoor use on balconies, patios and porches. The plastic handles weather, but the macrame cord will last longer under a covered area than in direct sun and rain.
Do the macrame hangers come with the pots?
Yes, the set includes three pots and three macrame hangers. No separate hanger purchase is needed.
Is $22.99 a good price for the set?
At $22.99 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, it is about $7.67 per pot with a hanger included. That is reasonable for self-watering hanging planters, and it is the only new price listed.
What plants suit these pots?
Pothos, ivy, spider plants and other small trailing plants work well. Avoid large or fast-growing plants that would outgrow the reservoir chamber.
Where is the 3-Pack Self Watering Hanging Plant Pots with Macrame Hangers cheapest?
At Walmart, for $22.99, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the 3-Pack Self Watering Hanging Plant Pots with Macrame Hangers?
Rated 4.3 out of 5 from 14 ratings.
