Questions and answers

Is this grill worth it at $109.99?
At $109.99 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, it is a cheap way to get a large grate plus an offset smoker. Expect to spend time sealing leaks and learning its hot spots.
How much charcoal does it use?
Long smoker sessions burn a lot of charcoal because the thin steel loses heat. Plan on a full chimney to start and refills every hour or so on slow cooks.
How hard is assembly?
Assembly is required and owners describe it as fiddly, with unclear instructions and occasional misaligned holes. Set aside an hour or two and have a second person help.
Can it smoke low and slow or only grill?
The offset box lets you smoke indirectly, but temperature control is manual and uneven. It works best for ribs, chicken and shorter smokes rather than overnight brisket.
What is the cooking area?
It has 587 square inches total, with a 26-inch-wide main grate plus the offset smoker chamber.
When is it cheapest?
Only one store lists it new, at $109.99 as of November 7, 2026, so there is little price competition. Watch for seasonal markdowns on charcoal grills in late summer.
Where is the 30 Inch Charcoal Barrel Grill with Offset Smoker cheapest?
At Walmart, for $109.99, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the 30 Inch Charcoal Barrel Grill with Offset Smoker?
Rated 3.2 out of 5 from 243 ratings.
