Is the 5.0 Ah battery worth it over the 2.0 Ah?

Yes if you run mowers, chainsaws or other high-drain tools. The 5.0 Ah pack gives roughly double the runtime of a 2.0 Ah and holds voltage better under load. For light trimming only, the smaller pack is cheaper and lighter.

Which Greenworks tools does this battery fit?

It fits all Greenworks 40V tools, more than 75 models including mowers, trimmers, blowers and chainsaws. It does not fit the 24V, 60V or 80V lines.

How long does it take to charge?

About 1 hour with a Greenworks rapid charger. A standard charger takes considerably longer, so check which charger you own.

Does it come with a charger?

Usually no. This listing is the battery alone, so buy a charger separately unless you already have one from a kit.

When is the best time to buy it?

Spring and early summer are peak yard-tool season, when prices run high. Late fall and winter clearance and bundled kit deals are usually the cheapest windows.
