Is this kit worth it versus buying struts and shocks separately?

For a worn 2005–2006 Equinox, Torrent or Vue, yes. You get both front struts and both rear shocks in one box for $177.53 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, which is usually less than four separate parts.

Do I need a spring compressor to install the front struts?

No. The front struts come fully assembled with coil springs, so they bolt in as a unit. The rear shocks swap out with basic hand tools.

Will this fit my 2007 or later Equinox or Vue?
