Our take on the 8-pack Solar Deck Lights Outdoor Waterproof IP68

A set of eight LED deck lights that charge from sunlight and mount on posts, steps or railings with no wiring. Each unit runs on a 12V LED and carries an IP68 waterproof rating, so it can stay outside in rain and snow. The 4.6-out-of-5 rating comes from only 5 ratings, so treat it as early feedback rather than a proven track record. No current price was provided, so compare the per-light cost against 4- and 12-packs before buying.

What reviewers say

With just 5 ratings at 4.6 out of 5, feedback is too thin to call. Early buyers tend to judge solar deck lights on brightness, how long they stay lit after dark, and whether water gets in.

Pros
  • Easy installation without wiring
Cons
  • Too few ratings to judge durability

Questions and answers

Are these bright enough to light a walkway?
Treat them as accent and marker lights, not path lighting. A 12V LED in a small solar fixture typically gives a soft glow that outlines steps and posts rather than lighting the ground brightly.
How long do they stay on after a full charge?
Most solar deck lights of this type run several hours after a sunny day and less after an overcast one. Run time depends on the internal battery, which is not listed here.
Do they need direct sun?
They charge best in direct sun, so mount the panel side where it gets the most daylight. Shaded posts will charge slowly and glow for fewer hours.
What comes in the box?
An 8-pack means eight light units. Mounting screws or adhesive are usually included with this type of light, but check the listing before you plan the install.
Is the 4.6 rating reliable?
It is based on only 5 ratings, which is too few to be a strong signal. Read the individual reviews and weigh the IP68 rating and warranty more heavily.
What do buyers say about the 8-pack Solar Deck Lights Outdoor Waterproof IP68?
Rated 4.6 out of 5 from 5 ratings.
