Abyss Super Pile Bath Towels & Bath Mats

The Abyss Super Pile Bath Towels and Bath Mats collection in White (100) is Abyss’ flagship luxury bath towel collection, crafted in Portugal from 100% Egyptian Giza Extra-Long Staple Cotton. At a substantial 700 GSM, within Fine Linen and Bath’s 600–799 GSM towel range, Super Pile combines dense long-loop terry construction with an exceptionally soft, plush, spa-like hand and high absorbency for everyday luxury bathing.

Super Pile uses premium Giza cotton in all three weaving directions — warp, weft, and pile. The pile uses a double-twist construction that creates a denser towel engineered for low linting, exceptional strength, and remarkable absorbency. The extra-long staple cotton fibers contribute to a smooth, supple feel while helping the towel maintain its shape, texture, softness, and performance through repeated laundering.

Super Pile towels feature Abyss’ signature reinforced bias-tape trim and continuous rounded corners. Each towel is pre-washed and pre-shrunk and is piece-dyed after sewing so the towel body, trim, and label maintain consistent color. These construction and finishing details are designed to improve durability and help preserve the towel’s appearance over time.

In Fine Linen and Bath’s independent side-by-side testing against five other luxury towel brands over 50 wash cycles, Super Pile was the only towel tested that completed every wash cycle without breaking down, retained its color best, and measured 20% more absorbent than the next-best brand tested. The testing also found that Super Pile became denser and more absorbent over repeated laundering.

Super Pile is offered in an extensive 60-color palette. This listing is specifically for White (100), a classic white colorway designed to coordinate across the Abyss & Habidecor bath collection.
