Is the GO! Big Electric worth it over the manual GO! cutter?

Reviewers who have used both call the electric version easier to use and easier on the shoulder. The trade-off is price and the need for a wall outlet.

How many layers can it cut?

Up to six layers of 100% cotton fabric at a time. Thicker materials like denim, fleece or batting cut in fewer layers.

All GO! and GO! Big piecing and applique dies. The 14-inch width fits sizes from 5 x 10 up to 14 x 16, including two 6-inch-wide dies side by side.

Can I plug it into a surge protector?

AccuQuilt recommends plugging it directly into a wall outlet. It advises against extension cords and surge protectors for best performance.

How big and heavy is it?

It is 14 inches wide at the cutting bed and weighs about 23 pounds (10.43 kg). It folds to roughly 28 cm tall for storage.

Does it come with dies?

The starter set bundles the cutter with dies; check the listing for which dies are included. Dies are otherwise sold separately.
