Is the Acer Swift 16 AI good for everyday work?

Yes. The octa-core Intel CPU and 16 GB RAM handle browsing, Office apps and video calls comfortably. The 2880 x 1800 touchscreen makes documents and spreadsheets easy to read.

How long does the battery last?

Acer rates it at 8 hours. Expect less with the screen at full brightness or heavy multitasking, so plan on carrying the charger for full days away from an outlet.

Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?

Storage comes as a 1 TB or 2 TB SSD, and 16 GB RAM is the listed configuration. Check the specific model's service manual before assuming either is user-upgradeable.

Does it have a touchscreen?

Yes, the 16-inch 2880 x 1800 display is a touchscreen. That is useful for scrolling, sketching and tapping through forms.

What ports does it have?

It lists USB-C and HDMI. There is no USB-A listed, so older flash drives and mice may need a USB-C adapter or hub.

Is it good for gaming?

No. It has integrated Intel graphics rather than a dedicated GPU, so it suits casual and older titles at low settings, not modern games.

Our take on the Acer Swift 16 AI

The Acer Swift 16 AI is a 16-inch Windows laptop with a 2880 x 1800 touchscreen, an octa-core Intel CPU and a backlit keyboard, all in a 3.4 lb black chassis. It pairs 16 GB RAM with 1 TB or 2 TB SSD storage and includes USB-C and HDMI ports. The 8-hour battery rating is modest for a machine this size. It suits people who want a large, sharp touch display for work and light creative tasks rather than all-day unplugged use.
