- Do I need a box spring with this bed?
- No. It is a platform bed, so the mattress rests on the frame's slats. A box spring would only raise the mattress height.
- Is $1,285.52 a good price for a king upholstered platform bed?
- It sits in the middle of the king upholstered platform range, where solid wood frames with chenille covers typically run $900 to $1,800. Only one new price is listed at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, so compare against similar Acme Hannah listings before buying.
- What mattress thickness works best?
- A standard 8 to 12 inch king mattress sits well on a platform frame. A very thick mattress may cover part of the headboard.
- How hard is assembly?
- Expect to attach the side rails, slats and headboard. A king frame is large, so plan on two people and about an hour or two.
- How do I clean the gray chenille?
- Vacuum it with an upholstery attachment and blot spills right away with a mild detergent solution. Avoid soaking the fabric.
- Does it come in other sizes or colors?
- The Hannah line is offered in other bed sizes and finishes, but this listing is the king in gray chenille. Check the size and color on the listing before ordering.
- Where is the Acme Furniture Hannah Gray Chenille Solid Wood Upholstered King Platform cheapest?
- At Walmart, for $1,285.52, as of our latest check.
