Are batteries included?

No. You need six AA batteries, which are not in the box. Buy a pack of lithium AAs for longer runtime in the cold.

How long do the batteries last?

ActionHeat rates up to 4 hours of heat. Expect less on the highest output or in very cold conditions, so carry a spare set for a full ski day.

Can I wear them all day?

Yes, but the heat runs only as long as the batteries. The wool blend keeps feet warm after the heat stops, which is the main reason to pick these over thin synthetic heated socks.

Remove the battery packs and hand wash in cold water, then air dry. Do not put them in the dryer, since heat and tumbling can damage the panels and wiring.

At $45.00 at The Home Depot as of November 4, 2026, they are a low-cost way into heated socks, and the wool adds warmth without power. Budget for AA batteries, and expect to replace them often.

What size should I buy?

These come in unisex sizes, so match your normal sock size and check the size chart. If you are between sizes, size up so the battery pack does not press on your ankle.
