Does it measure wind and rain, or only temperature?

It measures wind speed and direction, rainfall, indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, plus lightning strikes. Temperature is only one of several readings.

Do I need Wi-Fi to use it?

The display and outdoor sensor work over their own wireless link without Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi is needed for the AcuRite app and remote viewing.

How far can the sensor be from the display?

AcuRite rates its wireless sensors for roughly 330 feet in open air. Walls and metal siding cut that range, so mount the sensor with a clear line toward the display.

Is $199.99 a good price?

It is the only new price we have and sits at the top of its recent range. Waiting for a sale or a bundle is reasonable if you are not in a hurry.

What comes in the box?

You get the display, the outdoor sensor array, a mounting bracket and hardware, and a power adapter for the display. Batteries for the sensor are usually not included.
