Questions and answers

Is the Adams Flea & Tick Collar worth it?
At $12.00 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is one of the cheapest six-month flea and tick options. It suits budget-minded owners, but dogs with sensitive skin may do better with a vet-recommended product.
How long does one collar last?
Each collar is labeled for up to six months of flea and tick control. The 12-month supply figure refers to two collars in the pack, not one collar's life.
Can puppies wear it?
Yes, for puppies 12 weeks and older weighing at least 5 lb. Do not use it on younger or smaller puppies.
Does it still work after swimming?
Adams says it remains effective after swimming or rain, though heavy, frequent water exposure can shorten how long it lasts.
Can my dog wear it with a regular collar?
Yes. The collar is adjustable and can be worn alongside a normal collar, so tags and a leash collar still work.
Why can't I buy it for mosquitoes in California?
The mosquito-repelling claim is not registered in California, so that claim is excluded there. Check local rules before relying on it for mosquitoes.
Where is the Adams Flea & Tick Collar for Dogs & Puppies cheapest?
At eBay, for $12.00, 48% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
