Our take on the adidas Handball Spezial Rhinestone Earth Strata Women's Sneakers KI2179

The adidas Handball Spezial Rhinestone is a women's version of the 1979 handball trainer, rebuilt as a lifestyle sneaker with a suede upper, T-shaped toe overlay and rhinestone detailing in the Earth Strata/Off White/Gold Metallic colorway. It keeps the low-profile gum-style rubber sole and lace closure of the original. The best new price is $95.99 at Midwood Soles as of November 4, 2026, with only two stores listing it new, so comparison shopping matters more than usual.

Questions and answers

Is the adidas Handball Spezial Rhinestone worth it?
If you want the Spezial shape with extra shine, yes. At $95.99 at Midwood Soles as of November 4, 2026, it costs about what a plain suede Spezial runs, and the rhinestones are the difference.
How does it fit compared with a regular Handball Spezial?
It uses the same last and a regular fit, so most buyers take their usual adidas size. If you have wide feet or wear thick socks, consider a half size up.
Can I wear these for actual handball?
No. The Spezial started as a handball trainer, but this rhinestone edition is a lifestyle shoe. The suede upper and decorative stones are not built for court play.
What is in the box?
The shoes come new in the original adidas box. No extra laces or accessories are listed.
When is the best time to buy?
With only two stores listing it new, discounts are limited. Watch for seasonal sales at Midwood Soles, where the current best price is $95.99 as of November 4, 2026.
Where is the adidas Handball Spezial Rhinestone Earth Strata Women's Sneakers KI2179 cheapest?
At Midwood Soles, for $95.99, as of our latest check.
