Is this jean worth it?

If you want a comfortable high-rise straight crop with real inseam choices, it's a solid pick. The 4.3 rating from 116 buyers suggests most owners are satisfied with the fit.

How does it compare to AE's skinny jeans?

The stovepipe leg is straighter and roomier through the calf than a skinny, so it feels less restrictive. The high rise is similar, but the cropped hem gives a more casual look.

What inseam should I choose?

Pick short if you're under about 5'4", regular for average height, and long if you're taller or want the crop to sit lower. Petite sizing is also offered for shorter frames.

Does the denim stretch out?

The spandex blend gives some stretch, and like most stretch denim it can loosen slightly after a full day of wear. It typically tightens back up after washing.

What is the fabric content?

It's a denim and spandex blend, so expect stretch rather than rigid 100% cotton. That makes it more comfortable but less structured than raw denim.

American Eagle runs frequent denim promotions, and jeans tend to drop during seasonal sales and holiday events. Check the price history on this page to see the current price against past lows.

Our take on the AE High-Waisted Stovepipe Crop Jean Women's

The American Eagle High-Waisted Stovepipe Crop Jean is a straight-leg, cropped denim cut with a high rise and a hint of spandex for stretch. It comes in short, regular and long inseams plus petite sizing, which is unusual for a crop jean and helps it hit the right spot on different heights. The faded light wash is a soft, broken-in blue.
