Our take on the AECOJOY 10 ft. x 12 ft. Large Metal Outdoor Storage Shed with Floor Frame

The AECOJOY 10 ft. x 12 ft. Metal Outdoor Storage Shed is a galvanized steel garden building with a floor frame kit, two sliding doors and windows, sized to hold mowers, bikes and tools. The 120 sq ft footprint is large for a metal shed at this price, and the brown finish is less common than grey or green. It is a bolt-together kit that needs a level base and two people to assemble. No current price was provided for this listing, so check the live price against its recent range before buying.

Cons
  • Metal sheds are noisy in rain and hail
  • Needs a perfectly level base or panels will not line up

Questions and answers

Is the AECOJOY 10x12 shed worth it?
It is good value if you need maximum floor space on a tight budget and can build a solid level base. If you want a rigid, quiet building, a wooden or resin shed costs more but holds up better.
Does it come with a floor?
No. It includes a floor frame only. You supply plywood or OSB panels cut to the 10 ft by 12 ft footprint if you want a solid floor.
How hard is assembly?
Plan for most of a day with two people. The panels bolt together, but the base must be level and square first, or the doors and roof will not fit properly.
Will it rust?
The panels are galvanized steel, which resists rust, but cut edges and scratched spots can corrode. Touch up scratches and keep soil and mulch away from the base.
Can it handle snow and wind?
It is a light-duty shed. Clear heavy snow off the roof and anchor the frame to the ground; it is not built for extreme snow loads or exposed sites.
When is the price lowest?
Metal sheds usually drop in late summer and around Black Friday. Track the price history here and buy when it sits near the low end of its recent range.
