Our take on the Airfind Single Sit on Top Kayak with Detachable Aluminum Paddle Adjustable Footrest and Bungee Storage for Adults Fishing and Sightseeing

The Airfind is a 10.2 ft single sit-on-top recreational kayak sold with a detachable aluminum paddle. It has a V-chine hull for tracking, a 287 lb capacity, four-position adjustable footrests, a large backrest and a bungee cargo area sized for tackle and gear. At 58 lb it is light enough for one person to car-top, though not a boat you would carry far. Its only recorded price is $1,054.99 at Walmart as of October 29, 2026, so there is no lower recent price to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is the Airfind kayak worth it for a beginner?
It is a reasonable first kayak: stable sit-on-top hull, adjustable footrests and a paddle in the box. At $1,054.99 at Walmart as of October 29, 2026, compare against similar 10 ft sit-on-top models before committing.
How does it compare with a sit-in kayak?
A sit-on-top like this is easier to climb back onto and drains water on its own. A sit-in cockpit is drier and warmer in cold weather, but harder to re-enter if you capsize.
Can one person carry and transport it?
At 58 lb, most adults can lift it, but loading it alone onto a tall roof rack is hard work. A cart or a second person makes trips to the water much easier.
What is included in the box?
The kayak and a detachable aluminum paddle. A paddle leash, seat cushion and dry bag are not listed, so plan to buy those separately if you need them.
How much weight can it hold?
The stated maximum is 287 lb for one rider. That has to cover your body weight plus tackle, cooler and any gear in the bungee area.
When is the best time to buy it?
Kayak prices usually drop at the end of summer and during winter clearance. The only price recorded so far is $1,054.99 at Walmart as of October 29, 2026, so watch for a fall or spring markdown.
