Our take on the Aiwa Bone Conducting Wireless Headphones Open-Ear Wireless Bluetooth 5.0 Sports

The Aiwa Bone Conduction Wireless Headphones are open-ear sports headphones that send sound through the cheekbones instead of the ear canal, so your ears stay open to traffic and training partners. They pair over Bluetooth 5.0, run up to 12 hours per charge, and carry an IP68 rating for sweat and heavy rain. Touch controls handle playback and calls without reaching for your phone. At 159 g they are heavier than most bone-conduction sets, which matters on long runs.

Best forRunners and cyclists who need to hear trafficGym and outdoor workouts in rain or heavy sweatPeople who dislike earbuds plugging their earsCommuters who want awareness of surroundings
Pros

  • IP68 rating survives sweat, rain and washing

Questions and answers

Is bone conduction good for running?
Yes. The open-ear design lets you hear cars, bikes and other runners while music plays, which is why runners and cyclists are the main buyers. The trade-off is weaker bass and less isolation in loud places.
How long does the battery last?
Aiwa rates playtime at up to 12 hours per charge. Real-world time drops at high volume, and charging is over USB.
Can I wear them in the rain or while sweating heavily?
Yes. The IP68 rating covers sweat, rain and even brief submersion, so workouts and wet weather are fine. Dry the charging port before plugging in.
Do they work with iPhone and Android?
Yes. They connect over Bluetooth 5.0 to any Bluetooth-enabled phone, tablet or watch, including iPhone and Android devices.
What comes in the box?
The headphones, a headband and ear cushions are included, along with a USB charging cable.
Are they worth it over regular earbuds?
Choose them if safety and awareness matter more than bass and isolation. If you want deep sound and noise blocking for the gym or a flight, standard in-ear buds will suit you better.
