Is $479 a good price for the Alen 45i-OdorCell?

It is the only new price listed as of November 7, 2026, so there is no lower store price to beat it. Whether it is good depends on how much you value the OdorCell carbon stage over a plain HEPA unit.

What filters does the Alen 45i-OdorCell use?

It uses a HEPA filter plus a carbon OdorCell filter, and one set is included. Both are consumables, so budget for replacements.

Does the Alen 45i-OdorCell work with an app?

Yes. App control is listed, which lets you adjust fan speed and check filter life from your phone.

How often do the filters need changing?

Alen typically rates HEPA filters for about a year and carbon odor filters for a shorter interval, often around three to six months. The app tracks filter life so you are not guessing.

What room size does it cover?

No room-size or CADR rating is listed for this model. Check Alen's spec sheet for the square footage before buying for a large open space.

The Alen 45i-OdorCell is a HEPA and carbon air purifier aimed at rooms where odors are the problem, not just dust.
