Our take on the Alen BreatheSmart Flex Air Purifier

The Alen BreatheSmart Flex is a room air purifier from Alen's BreatheSmart line, sold under the Pure filter name, with a HEPA filter and a white cabinet. It is built for whole-room filtration in bedrooms and living spaces, and Alen's lineup is known for quiet operation and a lifetime warranty on the unit. At $349 at Lowe's as of November 7, 2026, it sits at the top of its recent range, so it is not a bargain price right now.

What size room does it handle?
The Flex is a room purifier aimed at bedrooms and living rooms of roughly 300 square feet, depending on fan speed and ceiling height.
Does it have an app or auto mode?
No. The Flex uses manual fan settings and has no Wi-Fi app or automatic air-quality sensor; step up in the BreatheSmart line for those.

Alen rates the HEPA filter for about 9 to 12 months of typical use; heavy use or pets shorten that.
What comes in the box?
The purifier ships with a HEPA filter installed and a power cord; no extra filters are included.
Is it loud at the highest speed?
High speed is audible, as on most purifiers, but owners say low and medium settings are quiet enough to sleep through.
