The Alexander Home Charlotte is a 2'-8" x 4' distressed-look area rug with a 0.25 in low pile, sized for entryways, kitchens, and small sitting areas. Its faded, vintage-style pattern is the main draw, and the low profile keeps it clear of doors and chair legs. It is rated 4.5 out of 5 from 287 ratings. Questions and answers

Is this rug worth it for an entryway?
Yes, if you want a low-pile rug that clears the door and takes dirt. At 0.25 in thick it will not catch the door swing, but add a pad if the floor is slick.
Does it need a rug pad?
A pad is recommended. The thin backing can slide on tile or hardwood, and a pad also adds the cushioning the 0.25 in pile lacks.
What size is it in feet?
It is 2'-8" by 4', or about 32 by 48 inches. That fits a small entry, a kitchen run, or beside a bed.
Is it safe for hardwood floors?
The low pile and backing are generally fine on sealed hardwood, but use a pad to prevent slipping and to protect the finish.
How do I clean it?
Vacuum regularly on a low setting and blot spills right away. For deeper cleaning, spot-treat or use a professional cleaner rather than machine washing.
When is it cheapest?
Prices on area rugs tend to dip during seasonal home sales and clearance events. Check the price history on this page to see the recent low before buying.
