Our take on the Alpinel 62.5in Cat Tree

The Alpinel 62.5in Cat Tree is a two-level freestanding cat tower with sisal-wrapped scratching posts and an outdoor cat house built in. At 62.5 inches tall it gives cats a high perch plus a sheltered spot, which suits porches and patios as much as a living room corner. Its best new price is $43.23 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, and it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is $43.23 a good price for this cat tree?
It is the only new price listed, $43.23 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, so there is no recent range to compare it with. For a 62.5-inch tower with a cat house, that is a low entry price.
Can it really be used outdoors?
It is listed with an outdoor cat house, so the sheltered section is meant for porch or patio use. The sisal and fabric parts will still wear faster in sun and rain, so a covered spot is safer.
How tall is it and how many levels?
It stands 62.5 inches high with two levels. That gives a top perch and a lower house, but fewer climbing steps than a three- or four-level tower.
Does it need to be attached to a wall?
No. It is freestanding, so it stands on its own. On a windy porch, place it against a wall or weigh the base down.
What scratching surface does it have?
The posts are wrapped in sisal, the rough rope cats tend to prefer over carpet. Expect the sisal to fray with heavy scratching and need replacing eventually.
Is it big enough for a large cat?
No weight or perch-size limit is listed. The two levels and 62.5-inch height suit average cats; for a large breed, check the perch dimensions before buying.
Where is the Alpinel 62.5in Cat Tree cheapest?
At Walmart, for $43.23, as of our latest check.
