Our take on the Alumilite Amazing Clear Cast Resin 16 oz

Amazing Clear Cast is a two-part epoxy resin from Alumilite that cures to a crystal-clear, high-gloss finish. It is used for coating countertops and bar tops, casting coasters and lenses, and embedding mica powders, alcohol inks, dyes and glitter. It self-levels to about 1/8 inch as a coating and covers roughly 13 square feet. The 32 fl oz kit is $19.99 at Milton's Daughter as of November 3, 2026, the only new price seen and the same as its low since late October.

Questions and answers

Is Amazing Clear Cast worth it for a first resin project?
Yes, if you want a clear coating or small casting. It mixes two parts, pours and levels on its own, and cures glossy. Measure carefully, since off ratios leave sticky spots.
How does it compare with other Alumilite resins?
Amazing Clear Cast is the clear coating and casting option. Alumilite's Amazing Casting Resin cures opaque and much faster, so pick Clear Cast when you need transparency.
How long does it take to cure?
Plan on 24 to 48 hours for a full cure. Thin coatings set sooner, but leave the piece undisturbed for the full window before handling or sanding.
What is in the 32 fl oz kit?
You get the two-part resin in bottles, one resin and one hardener, totaling 32 fl oz. Mixing cups, stir sticks and pigments are not included.
Is it food safe?
Once fully cured it is listed as safe for incidental food contact. It is not meant for cutting on or for repeated direct contact with hot food.
When is the best time to buy it?
The price has held at $19.99 at Milton's Daughter since October 31, 2026, with no lower price seen. There is no sign of a discount cycle, so waiting has not paid off recently.
Where is the Alumilite Amazing Clear Cast Resin 16 oz cheapest?
At Milton's Daughter, for $19.99, as of our latest check.
