Is $94.99 a good price for this baker's rack?

It is the only new price listed, $94.99 at Newegg as of November 8, 2026, so there is nothing lower to compare it to. Check whether a used or open-box listing appears before paying full price.

Do I need to assemble it?

It is sold as one piece, so no assembly is listed. Plan for a two-person carry, since a steel-and-wood rack is bulky and awkward alone.

Can it hold a microwave or toaster oven?

The steel frame is built for kitchen appliances, but check the shelf weight limit before loading heavy items on the top shelf. Keep the heaviest appliances on the lower shelves.

Will the wood shelves survive a humid kitchen?

The wood is the weak point near steam and spills. Wipe up water promptly and avoid placing it directly beside a stove or dishwasher vent.

Does it need to be anchored to the wall?

It is freestanding and needs no drilling. In a household with kids or pets, a simple wall strap is still worth adding for a tall, top-heavy rack.

Our take on the Amazon Basics Baker's Rack

The Amazon Basics Baker's Rack is a freestanding kitchen storage unit with steel frame and wood shelves in a chrome and silver finish. It adds counter and shelf space for appliances, pots and pantry items without a cabinet install. It is a single-piece unit, so it arrives assembled as one rack.
