Our take on the Ancheer 20'' x 4.0 Fat Tire 500W Foldable Electric Bike

The Ancheer 20'' x 4.0 Fat Tire 500W Foldable Electric Bike is a budget-priced folding e-bike with 20-inch fat tires, a 500W rear hub motor, front suspension and a 7-speed drivetrain. The fat tires and suspension make it usable on gravel, packed sand and rough pavement, and the folding frame lets it fit in a trunk or closet. At $439.99 at ancheer.shop as of November 3, 2026, it sits at the low end of what 500W fat-tire folders cost new.

Questions and answers

Is the Ancheer 20'' fat tire e-bike worth it at $439.99?
At $439.99 at ancheer.shop as of November 3, 2026, it is one of the cheapest 500W fat-tire folders you can buy new. Expect budget parts and a heavy frame, but the motor and tires deliver where it counts for casual riding.
How fast does the 500W motor go?
A 500W hub motor of this type typically tops out around 20 mph with pedal assist, and the throttle works up to that limit. Real speed drops on hills and with heavier riders.
What is the range on a charge?
Expect roughly 15 to 25 miles with mixed pedal assist, less if you rely on the throttle. Cold weather, hills and rider weight all cut that figure.
Can it fit in a car trunk?
Yes, the frame folds at the center, but the bike is heavy and bulky when folded. It fits better in an SUV, van or RV than in a small sedan trunk.
Does it come assembled?
It ships mostly assembled, but you should expect to fit the front wheel, handlebars, pedals and seat, then adjust the brakes and derailleur. A shop check is worth the cost if you are not handy.
When is it cheapest?
Prices on budget e-bikes like this dip during holiday sales and end-of-season clearances. Track the price history here and buy when it falls below the recent low.
