Is 300 ANSI lumens bright enough?

In a dark room, yes, for images up to about 80 to 100 inches. In daylight or with lamps on, the picture washes out, so plan on controlling light.

How big an image can it throw?

Up to 120 inches, but brightness drops as the image grows. With the 1.2 throw ratio, a 100-inch image needs roughly 8.7 feet of distance.

Does it have a battery?

Yes, the Capsule line is battery-powered for cord-free use, though runtime is short at full brightness. Check the listing for the exact figure before buying.

Can I connect a console or streaming stick?

Yes. It has HDMI and HDMI 2.1 inputs plus USB-C, so a Switch, Fire Stick or laptop connects directly. The 60 Hz refresh rate suits casual play, not competitive gaming.

Is it worth it over the Capsule 3?

The Laser model adds a laser light source with longer life and better color than the LED Capsule 3. Choose it if you want longevity and richer color; the LED version is cheaper.

Our take on the Anker Nebula Capsule 3 Laser Projector

The Nebula Capsule 3 Laser is a soda-can-sized portable projector from Anker that uses a blue laser light source rated at 300 ANSI lumens and 30,000 hours. It projects 1080p images up to 120 inches with autofocus and auto keystone, and covers over 90% of DCI-P3. Its 2 lb body and USB-C input make it a grab-and-go option for dark rooms rather than a bright-room TV replacement.
