Our take on the Apple 10.9-Inch iPad 10th Generation Wi-Fi Cellular 64GB
The 10th-generation iPad is Apple's 10.9-inch tablet with the A14 Bionic chip, a flat-edge design, USB-C and a landscape front camera. This version adds Wi-Fi plus cellular so it works on mobile data without a hotspot. The 64GB storage is the base tier and fills up fast with apps, photos and offline video. It is the entry point to the current iPad line, below the iPad Air and iPad Pro.
- 10.9-inch 2360x1640 Liquid Retina display is sharp and bright
- A14 Bionic chip handles everyday apps, streaming and light games
- USB-C charging and accessories, unlike the 9th-gen Lightning port
- Cellular model keeps you online away from Wi-Fi
- Landscape 12MP front camera centers you on video calls

Questions and answers
- Is the 64GB iPad 10th generation enough storage?
- For streaming, browsing and a few apps, yes. If you download movies, keep large games or shoot lots of video, 64GB fills quickly and there is no card slot to expand it.
- Does it work with the Apple Pencil?
- It supports the first-generation Apple Pencil only, and you need a USB-C to Apple Pencil adapter to pair and charge it. The second-generation Pencil and USB-C Pencil do not work with this model.
- What is the difference between this and the 9th-generation iPad?
- The 10th generation has a larger 10.9-inch screen, a faster A14 chip, USB-C instead of Lightning and a landscape front camera. The 9th generation is cheaper but older.
- Do I need a data plan for the cellular model?
- Yes. The cellular model takes a nano-SIM or eSIM and needs a carrier data plan to get online away from Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi still works without one.
- What comes in the box?
- The iPad, a USB-C charge cable and a 20W USB-C power adapter. The Apple Pencil and keyboard cases are sold separately.
